QUINOA BLACK BEAN PAELLA
May was an incredibly busy month, so much that I basically disappeared off the gram.. June looks to be even way busier so meal prepping every Sunday night will be high priority. This week's meal prep is probably the easiest meal prep one could ever make. No thats not a stir fry.. it's paella. .
1. Sautee garlic and red onion in coconut oil
2. Add vegetables (I used zuchinni, carrots, red pepper)
3. Add tomato paste, tumeric, salt and pepper
4. Add a little bit of red wine
5. Add quinoa 🌾
6. Add black beans 💪
7. Add vegetable stock
8. Simmer for 25
9. Fold in spinach while still warm

This past month-ish has been really difficult for me. For one, I haven’t seen a change in my weight on the scale. In fact it has gone up. I haven’t posted myself working out as much for that reason because seeing the number on the scale makes me feel self-conscious. But i have to remind myself that the number is irrelevant. It’s how you feel that’s important. I’ve also done a lot of changes this past month. Upped my intake of protein. Cut out cardio almost completely and done solely weight training (with the exception of jump rope ☺️) and the results are great ! I feel great.
1. I can squat with 10-20 lbs comfortably
2. I can do Russian twists with my legs up (the struggle’s been real)
3. I lost 2in on my waist
4. I’m more flexible (h.s cheerleader Shell is that you? 😂)
And this is just to name a few of my mini goals. When preparing this post i had to remind my self of my motto: Slow and Steady.
So has my weight gone up? Yeah. Do I feel Shitty about only losing a total of 5lbs this month? Yeah. But do I feel stronger than last month? Uh Duh. And am I excited to kick ass this month? Hell yeah
Moral of my essay: stay motivated & don’t give up. Just because the process seems slow doesn’t mean it has ended. Oh hey there!👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼 I haven’t checked in for a few days! 🙈 I started classes for my MBA program this week. It’s been a little rough getting used to working all day and going to school at night! I’ve been so tired! 😴💤 I had workout FOMO from this week (Idk if that’s a thing, but I’m making it a thing) 🤷🏻♀️ so I did a little mashup yesterday of some workouts I missed this week! Apparently A_a_ron needs to make them chest gains 😂😂😂. I find it hilarious that the bench press (the most ego driven lift) is the lift that 95% of dudes associate strength with 🤷♂️. I’m that guy that’s like, “how much you squat bro?” #reallifters#itsnotagame -

Ça fait un an aujourd'hui, mais même dans 100 ans on se rappellera avec douleur de cette triste date du 13 Novembre 2015.
A titre personnel, étant présent au Stade de France, j'ai failli y passer. Mais je suis bel et bien vivant, contrairement aux 130 assassinés, sans oublier les 413 blessés et toutes ces vies brisées. Grande pensée pour eux.
Des actes barbares qui n'ont fait qu'amplifier mon amour pour ma patrie, même s'il n'en avait pas besoin.
