I’ve always been one to bash Connecticut for its lack of great scenery, but upon my short trip back there last week I got to see this spot. The water gets this unique color from a nearby limestone quarry. Funny enough, this is a mere 10 minutes drive from my childhood home and for 21 years l, I’d never seen it! It did take a few times visiting for the colors to be right, though, because rain stirs up the dirt in the water and makes it a gray color. Thanks to @alannasinclair for scouting this one out and sharing with me the location.

Bodega Week: Day 2!
This isn’t exactly a bodega but it has the characteristics of the ISLAND series - Where these images are coming from - this shot is from the Frankford area of Philadelphia- my wife and I lived in this area for a few years - We got to know our neighbors by walking our dog, Memphis around - at first the children were really afraid of Memphis, their experience with dogs came from dog fighting but they soon came to know and love her- it is a huge contrast to the neighborhood in which we live now where it seems everyone and their mother has a dog 🐕
#actuallyok#andreevna_fr#kids#people#picoftheday

|| memories from the very first day I spent here ||
These are the -archive days-.
_I’m looking through my pics and focus my attention over the ones that in the past I’ve almost delete, the places I’m almost sure I’ll never go back to, cities where I wanted to spend all my life and the people that changed my life forever_
