This is the view I’ll miss the most - blue sky, palm trees, stunning whit architecture and a book. Reading and learning in the sun ❤️ I hope everyone has a break planned this summer... #summerholiday#readreadread#cyprus 🇨🇾
Ahhh woman down!!!! Well I have to accept defeat right now, lurgys has finally got me. I've had a good run. Not been ill since the sickness bug swept the house new years day!
Anyone who knows me knows I used to be ill all the time. Bad sinuses. Always catching colds. But thanks to my magic shake and all round healthy life change its become a rarity. Although it does happens it's not full on hocus pocus. 🤒
However today I'm out and taking a rest day. Razor blade throat has got me and I just feel all around weak. The sun being out is keeping me perked up mind. Oh an the constant cuddles from my little man.
I'm fully capable of listening to my body. Im not crazy an "gonna sweat it out" I'm not silly I know I'm gonna struggle to breathe lol. Theres things where I can crack on an there's things where I cant.
Mid week rest day 🙋🏻♀️ 🌿 I love weeks where my training actually lines up well with my days off and work shifts! If I can, I like to take a rest day in the middle of my training week, just to allow my muscles that bit of extra recovery time before the next session 🙌
Today’s rest day was a 7km walk in the bush and on the beach, followed by 30 mins of rehab and stretching in the sun ☀️When you’re feeling a bit down and under the weather, nothing lifts your mood more than fresh air and sunshine!! I have been fighting off a cold for about 3 weeks now and I don’t know how much longer I can keep it at bay ☹️ All that travel, work and lack of sleep always catches up to you. Hoping today’s rest day has helped me a little 🤞🏽
😴Rest day for me today...it’s really hard for me to listen to my body sometimes. I’m the kind of person who needs to keep busy all the time or else I start to feel antsy and unproductive. -
Two months ago, I was working 4 different jobs (govt job, teaching piano and French, personal training) and was feeling a lot of pressure, but loved it because I felt productive and fulfilled. Now I’m at my full time job and just teaching piano. It was an adjustment because like I said—I feel restless when I’m getting rest. I’m enjoying the little bit of extra time I have for myself, but I still have to force myself to listen to my body and mind and just give myself a break sometimes. -
Hope your days are going well. What’s your favorite way to relax? -
P.S. my hair tie obviously stays on my wrist at all times...
